The badly decomposed body of a man believed to be in his 40s was found in a van on a Queens street, police said Monday.
The corpse was discovered in a white van parked on Calloway St. near Otis Ave. in Corona about 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, cops said.
There were no obvious signs of trauma or immediate indication the man was the victim of foul play.
The city medical examiner will conduct an autopsy to determine how the man died as cops work to identify him.
It was not immediately clear how long the man was in the van or when he died. The high temperatures and humidity in recent days, police said, accelerated the body’s decomposition.
