The decomposed body of a 52-year-old man was discovered on a sailboat docked at Newtown Creek in Queens, police said Sunday.
Shortly after noon, cops got a 911 call from a passerby who noticed the body in a sailboat docked near the Pulaski Bridge in Long Island City. EMS pronounced the man dead at the scene.
It was not immediately clear how long ago the man died. The city medical examiner’s office is investigating the circumstances around the death.
The man’s identity is being withheld until his family is notified.
