Two men — possibly brothers — were shot in the Bronx Friday night, with both near death, police and sources said.
The pair were hanging out outside a smoke shop on Dyre Ave. near Light St. in Baychester — near the last stop on the No. 5 subway line — when a man opened fire around 7:45 p.m., striking one of them, 40 years old, in the neck and the other, a 30-year-old, in the collarbone, cops said.

“It was the two brothers hanging out in front of the smoke shop,” an eyewitness who did not want to be identified said. “The guy came across the street shooting. He hit both of them, one in the neck. He was bleeding bad. It looked like he was going to die.”
Medics rushed both men to Jacobi Medical Center, where they are in critical condition. Cops could not immediately confirm if the two are brothers.
So far there have been no arrests. Police have one man in custody but couldn’t say if he was a suspect or simply a person of interest. The investigation is ongoing.
