TikTok star Sana Yousaf dead at 17 in ‘cold-blooded murder’

TikTok star Sana Yousaf has died after being shot at her home in Pakistan in what officials are calling a “cold-blooded murder.”

The 17-year-old was fatally shot Monday night by a man who had repeatedly contacted her online, local authorities confirmed Tuesday. An unidentified 22-year-old was arrested roughly 20 hours later on suspicion of murder.

Police allege the masked man spent hours loitering outside Yousaf’s home in the capital of Islamabad. The suspect reportedly had a conversation with her outside before entering the house and firing “multiple shots,” according to local media. She was reportedly shot twice at point-blank range and died at the scene.

“It was a case of repeated rejections. The boy was trying to reach out to her time and again,” Islamabad Police Chief Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi said at a press conference. “It was a gruesome and cold-blooded murder.”

Yousaf — known for lip-sync videos, skincare tips and beauty product content — amassed more than 1 million followers on TikTok and 560,000 on Instagram.

In her final video posted on social media, just hours before her death, she was seen cutting into a cake in celebration of her birthday.
