Boy, 14, fatally stabbed in Queens Boulevard rumble as rival groups of youths clash

A 14-year-old boy has died after being stabbed in Queens in a possible gang attack, police said Friday.

The victim was stabbed in the abdomen around 3:30 p.m. near 38th St. and Queens Blvd. in Sunnyside, police said.

Medics rushed the boy to Weill Cornell Medical Center in Manhattan, but he could not be saved.

Cops “may be looking for a large group,” responsible for the attack, a police spokesperson said.

The incident may have started as a fight inside a local McDonald’s restaurant, which then spilled out onto the street, according to a police source.

“It was a group of, like, 15 or 20 kids. They were facing off to fight,” said Sheikh Rahn, 15, who was on his way to a dentist appointment at a nearby medical center with his mother when they witnessed the rumble.

“It was one group in ski masks and another in backpacks. They took over the whole parking lot. They were definitely going after someone,” Rahn said.

“I was scared for me and my mom. We ran into the medical center,” he added.
