Woman shoved against moving Manhattan train in latest random subway attack

A homeless man shoved a 23-year-old woman into the side of a train as it pulled into a Washington Heights station Monday morning in the city’s latest unprovoked subway attack, the NYPD said.

The victim apparently never saw her attacker, identified by police as 26-year-old Markeese Brazelis,  who came up and pushed her as an uptown A train roared into the the 175th St. stop about 9:05 a.m., police said.

After slamming into the moving train, the victim stumbled backward and fell onto the platform.

Medics from the scene took her Mount Sinai Morningside to be treated for bruises to her face, hands, knees and shoulder.

Her attacker got away on the same A train he shoved her against but by then witnesses had snapped his photo and showed it to police, allowing for a quick description to be put out.

Brazelis was nabbed by cops just one stop away at the 81st St. station. He was charged with assault and reckless endangerment.

The suspect smiled as he was led from the NYPD’s Transit District 3 stationhouse Monday, screaming “She was a victim for a reason!”

His arraignment in Manhattan Criminal Court was pending.
